Botkier
New York native Monica Botkier started her career as a fashion photographer for several major magazines. With her busy Manhattan lifestyle, Monica was always on the lookout for the perfect handbag that would be a blend of functionality and style. In 2003, Monica decided she would make the bags that she desired, and thus created the first line of Botkier handbags. With her keen photographer's eye and attention to detail, Monica designed bags that were luxurious but also downtown ready. Her creations filled a void in the market for approachable designer goods and became hugely successful overnight. Botkier continues to have great success today, expanding to shoes in 2008 and opening their first boutique in January 2010 in New York's NoLita district.
Botkier accessories are the perfect for the modern woman – they are fashionable yet functional, designer yet attainable. The price of the bags sits right underneath high-end designer labels. Known for their use of hardware, zippers, and custom materials, Botkier bags are simple enough to be worn every day, but detailed and edgy enough to make a bold statement. The Trigger bag was one of the first to be designed and still reigns as the iconic shape of the Botkier brand, with two zippered pockets diagonally crossing in front. These bags have been seen on the arms of such recognizable women as Heidi Klum, Angelina Jolie, and Beyonce.
