Alice + Olivia
Alice + Olivia is a brand that began with a search for the perfect pair of pants. The founder of the brand, Stacey Bendet, loved every type of pants from skinny jeans to slouchy bell bottoms. During her college years at University of Pennsylvania she acquired a huge collection of denim, eventually altering and tweaking the pants to create her own designs. People began to notice her unique pants, and in 2002 along with classmate Rebecca Matchett she launched the first preview collection of Alice + Olivia in New York, a collection of just pants in fun patterns and colors. Shortly after the launch of the brand, the founder of Theory, Andrew Rosen, became a financial partner in the company. The brand is now sold in fine department stores worldwide as well as in free standing boutiques.
In addition to great-fitting pants, Alice + Olivia has expanded to incorporate women's and men's ready-to-wear, childrenswear and yogawear, as well as a shoe collection for Payless. Sequined dresses, embellished tops, and draping sweaters are all signatures of the brand's detail-oriented style. Alice + Olivia has become a celebrity favorite. Stars such as Kristen Stewart, Mena Suvari, Sarah Jessica Parker and Diane Kruger all favor the brand's style.
